What you actually pay

Ro's membership is $149 a month, or $99 a month on a three-month plan, or $74 a month if you pay $888 for a year up front. The first month is $39, and Ro's terms say that first payment is refunded if you turn out not to be eligible for a GLP-1.

Medication is charged on top, priced per medication and per dose. Ro publishes the whole ladder rather than one headline, and the steps are steep: Zepbound runs from $299 a month at the starting dose to $449 at the higher ones, and the Wegovy pen from $199 for the first two months to $349 and then $399 at the highest dose.

Add the two together before comparing Ro with a compounded seller whose single price includes the drug. A year on the annual membership plus a mid-range dose is a different number from the one on the signup page.

The tablets cost less than the injections

Ro sells semaglutide as a daily tablet as well as a weekly pen, and the tablet is cheaper at every rung: $149 a month at the starting dose, $199 in the middle, $299 at the top. The pen reaches $349 at its maintenance doses and $399 at the highest. Foundayo, the orforglipron tablet, runs from $149 to $299, and Ro discounts two of its middle doses to — and $199 for anyone signing up before the end of 2026.

So the cheapest brand-name GLP-1 on Ro is a tablet, not an injection, and that is the figure its pricing page leads with. Which medication and form you are prescribed is a clinical decision rather than a shopping one, and the gap matters mainly if a provider has already put both on the table.

Worth knowing how that page is built: the tiles show only the lowest figure for each product, and the dose prices sit behind a "See all dose prices" link. The number you see first is the cheapest rung of the cheapest product, and a maintenance dose of the pen is more than twice it.

The drug prices are not Ro's

Ro sells FDA-approved brand medication and passes through the manufacturers' self-pay prices rather than setting its own. That is why its Zepbound figures track Eli Lilly's published rates, and why they step up with the dose.

It is a real distinction from the compounded sellers on this site. Brand medication is FDA-approved and made by the manufacturer; compounded medication is neither. You are paying more for that, and Ro's membership is what it charges for the care around it.

What a year costs, and what it locks

The annual plan is the cheapest way to hold the membership, at $74 a month, and Ro's terms describe it as prepaid annually. Prepaying is a bet that you will still be on treatment in eleven months, which is a reasonable bet for many people and a poor one if you are trying a GLP-1 to see how you respond.

After the first month, Ro's terms say the recurring membership fee depends on the plan you chose. The monthly plan keeps the decision open at the highest rate; the annual one closes it at the lowest.

Who dispenses it

Ro's pharmacy partner is Roman Health Pharmacy LLC, the company's own pharmacy, which is a straightforward arrangement compared with the networks of unnamed pharmacies elsewhere in this market. Prescriptions still depend on a provider deciding the medication is appropriate.
