What you actually pay
Gala publishes $179 a month for compounded GLP-1/GIP, and states it covers "all doses, no hidden fees". That matters more than it sounds. Most compounded sellers price by dose, so the figure you see at signup is the lowest one and your bill climbs as you titrate. Gala's does not, and its terms carry a matching statement that the price does not move with the dose.
Brand-name Ozempic is sold separately at $1,299 a month. That is a pass-through of the manufacturer's cash price rather than anything Gala discounts, and it sits beside the compounded option rather than replacing it.
Leaving costs notice
Two terms decide what cancelling costs you. The first is timing: a cancellation request must reach Gala at least 72 hours before your billing date, or the next month is charged. The second is money: apart from a cancellation because a medical provider disqualified you, Gala's terms say in capital letters that no refund is issued on cancellation. You keep the service to the end of the cycle you have already paid for.
If a provider does disqualify you for a medical reason, Gala's terms state that you receive a full refund.
Compounded, and what that means
Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold. Gala's own pages carry that disclosure, and describe the medications as not FDA-approved. That is the honest framing, and it is the trade-off for a price a fraction of the brand's.
Whether you need a video visit depends: Gala's FAQ says consultations may be synchronous or asynchronous depending on the patient, state law, and the medication. It works with pharmacies across all 50 states.
The figure on the homepage
Gala's homepage leads with a weight-loss percentage. Its own asterisk attributes the number to clinical studies of GLP-1 medications combined with lifestyle change, which is not the same as results among Gala's patients, and no telehealth seller can promise what a drug trial measured. Read it as what the drug class did in trials, not as what the service delivers.
