none on record
LifeMD's own page contradicts itself: the rotating banner shows Wegovy Pen at both "Starting At Just $199" and "$499" on the same page load. A "Medicare Accepted" badge sits above an FAQ that excludes anyone with Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE from the GLP-1 programmes entirely. The $149/mo fee does not include medication.
Why consider it
- No FDA or FTC action against this provider is on record.

Membership only — medication costs extra
These figures buy clinician access. The medication is billed separately and is not included, so they cannot be compared against the prices above.

Who pays for the medication
Can insurance pay for it?
No. You pay LifeMD directly for the medication.
“LifeMD does not accept insurance for its GLP-1 weight loss programs, but your insurance may help cover the cost of medication. At this time, those with any form of government healthcare coverage (including programs such as Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE), whether primary or secondary, or government-related coverage such as Medicare Supplement Plans, are not eligible for LifeMD GLP-1 weight loss programs, as these plans typically do not cover the type of medication LifeMD programs may prescribe.”

Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE
Members of those plans are excluded.

Compare who bills insurance, and who excludes Medicare and Medicaid
What you actually pay
Two bills. The programme fee is $149 a month, discounted to $39 for the first month, and LifeMD is clear that it "does not include the cost of medication and pharmacy fulfillment" unless you are on a medication-included sub-programme. Shipping and sales tax are added on top of listed prices.
The medication price is where it gets unstable — see the contradictions below.
The commitment is not what the marketing says
LifeMD's page advertises "the flexibility to cancel anytime". Its terms set an eight-hour window: "all Automatic Renewal Programs must be cancelled within (8) hours of the renewal subscription date to avoid incurring charges for the same." There is no proration — "You will not, however, be eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the Subscription or Membership fee paid for the then-current membership period."
Cancelling also ends your care, not just your billing: "you will not be eligible to receive any LifeMD Weight Management Program Membership Services, including prescriptions from your provider."
The billing period may not even be monthly. The terms contemplate billing "every one, three, six, or twelve months", so the monthly framing can arrive as a longer prepaid block.
The money-back guarantee, read closely
It is a twelve-month construct with a long list of conditions. You must have been continuously enrolled for a year, self-paid, attended every scheduled consultation without missing one, completed all lab work, and logged your weight in the portal at least weekly with no gap longer than ten days. The request must arrive within 30 days of the one-year anniversary. And the payout is the subscription fee "minus the cost of program costs incurred by LifeMD, which include medical consultations, insurance and benefits verification, prior authorization management, and lab work".
Insurance
LifeMD does not accept insurance for the programme itself; a third-party partner pursues coverage for the drug. If that fails, the fees you have already paid are gone: "we are unable to offer refunds for previously incurred monthly membership fees."
Four places the site contradicts itself
This is the most self-contradictory site of the twelve we have reviewed, and every one of these sits on pages LifeMD publishes itself.
- The same rotating banner shows two different prices. Within a single carousel on the weight-management page, one item reads "Wegovy Pen Starting At Just $199" and another reads "Wegovy Pen Starting At Just $499". Which you see depends purely on when you look. The page's footnote explains only the "$199" figure; "$499" is never reconciled anywhere.
- A "Medicare Accepted" badge sits above an FAQ that excludes Medicare patients. The FAQ states that those with "any form of government healthcare coverage (including programs such as Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE), whether primary or secondary" are "not eligible for LifeMD GLP-1 weight loss programs".
- An "HSA/FSA Eligible" badge sits against terms saying otherwise. The terms state the membership fee "is not a covered benefit under most health insurance plans or other healthcare benefit plans such as the Health Saving Account or Flexible Spending Account."
- "Cancel anytime" against the eight-hour window described above.
Smaller things worth knowing
Ozempic appears in the medication list with LifeMD's own disclaimer that it "is not FDA-approved for weight loss". Support is not 24/7 — the care team answers email on a published weekday and weekend schedule. And failing to complete onboarding steps on time forfeits fees already paid: "you will not be eligible for a refund of any program fees you incur due to your failure to timely complete these requirements of participation."

TrustScore 3.9 out of 5 · 4,257 reviews on Trustpilot · checked September 15, 2026
The rating covers LifeMD’s whole service rather than GLP-1 treatment alone, and it says nothing about clinical results. Recent reviews about the treatment you are considering tell you more than the average.
